Winter Blue Adventure Race (Truckee, CA, from 2008-03-09 09:30 to 2008-03-09 14:30) — by Todd Jackson

A multi-discipline event in which teams of two will utilize snowshoes and/or free heel skis to make their way around the winter wonderland of Northstar's previously inaccessable backcountry terrain in search of hidden checkpoints. Designed to be completed between 3-5 hours, the Tahoe Winter Blue provides an enjoyable experience for both professional athletes looking for physical challenge as well as recreational athletes looking for a playful day in the backcountry of the Sierra.

The Oakridge 24 course is in the Willamette National Forest on the West side of the Cascades.
