- The Frontier Adventure Challenge Fall Classic has been getting wilder and more exciting every year, and 2008 will definitely continue the trend. Hosted by one of the best adventure destinations around, Esprit Rafting on the Ottawa River, teams will discover the incredibly rugged wilderness of the Pontiac region, get lost in the myriad networks of ATV trails along the river valleys, and spike their adrenaline with some of the best paddling and whitewater anywhere in Canada. Teams of three and solo racers will compete for prizing and glory while biking, hiking, paddle boarding, rafting and paddling through an unmarked wilderness racecourse that spans over 75km, experiencing the stunning fall colors and fantastic terrain near Fort Coulonge. Teams of three can be all-male, all-female, or coed, or racers can go solo. Esprit provides an incredible athlete's village atmosphere, with their famous post-race food, and a memorable season-ending wrap up party. And of course the unforgettable autumn sunset from their deck overlooking the river. Championship. For many years, the Fall Classic has served as the Sprint Series Championship for Eastern Canada, and most years, it's the only AR champs in Canada. Top teams from across Ontario and Quebec look to this event to claim their stake as the best team for the year. Frontier Adventure Sports, the event organizers, say the event is for everyone. “While this will be a competitive race with the best teams in Canada, there are no qualifications or restrictions,” says Geoff Langford, the race director. “Two course options - Advanced or Regular - make this a race for everyone. If teams are looking for a longer race experience with some darkness but without going overnight, this is a great opportunity.” Push your limits by joining the fun and adventure at www.fastadventures.com
