2008 Beginner Races and Reminder for this Saturday

Late last year, a few local AR teams met and decided to organize Winter(race-like) training events as a way to grow the sport locally. The Dirty Avocados were one team that was signed up to do so. However, due to unforeseen family and work needs our team is unable to organize such an event this winter. We are still committed to supporting races for beginners and thus will volunteer for existing races as we have done in the past and even add our own event when it does not overlap existing events.
With the launch of the Norcal-AR Series and the American River Series plus the additional Big Blue Race Series there are so many new beginner opportunities to race and grow in this sport. The addition of these great races has also limited our calendar as we want to support these races and not book over them.
We will likely look out into the calendar to the mid-summer and will do our best not to calendar over any existing series.

As many have mentioned this weekend there are two great options to learn more and meet up with local adventure racers:
+ Saturday afternoon racing with Giants is hosting the Open House flyer here. where they will introduce the sport to anyone new. Should be fun as many local teams are coming in to support this event: http://www.racingwithgiants.com/News/AR-Open-House.html
+ Saturday night BAARBD.org is hosting a party in the City with local race directors in attendance plus there will be a raffle.

See you Saturday.
