New Fall Racing Options - Looking for your Input / 5 Questions

BAARB Folks -
I'm finalizing dates for the fall NORCAL-AR series races and wanted to get
your feedback on a couple topics. The intention is to announce 2 more races.
Both will be tough 24+/- hour events that may include a shorter, 8-hour
option as well. The events are in great new locations, but are 3-5 hour
drives from the Bay Area. Intended scheduling dates for 2008 would be long
weekends like Aug 30-31st, Oct. 11-12. Or event early November.
Here are my questions:
1) What is the max distance you're willing to drive for a weekend race?
2) What is the max distance you're willing to drive for a long-weekend (i.e.
holiday weekend like labor day, memorial day, etc.) race?
3) Do you prefer tough, 24hr races or shorter (8-12hr) races?
4) Would you be inclined to participate in both of the new races this Fall
or only one of them?
5) Finally, if you have dates in October or November that you would want (or
not want) please let me know so I can avoid scheduling conflicts as much as
possible.
