Subject: baarbd anncounces weekly training and trivia!

PRESS RELEASE: July 3, 2008 - In the spirit of Independence Day and
breaking out, baarbd is proud to announce the new weekly training
series "baarbd brains and brawn".  Every Monday is "brain training" -
a trivia question about adventure racing will be sent out and all
correctly submitted answers will be entered into a raffle for sweet
baarabd swag! The winner will be announced at the "brawn training" - a
training event every Thursday in one of the various adventure racing
disciplines.

"Brains" - Every Monday the trivia question will be sent to the baarbd
email list and posted on the baarbd homepage. Send your answer to
brain@baarbd.org by midnight on following Wednesday to be entered into
the raffle if you provide the correct answer. One submission per
person (not email address). If multiple submissions are received by a
single person the first submission will be used. The winner and the
answer will be announced at the brawn training event and later posted
on the site. Open to everyone!

"Brawn" - Every Thursday baarbd will lead an event in San Francisco in
one of the AR disciplines - most commonly trek/run, mountain bike or
kayaking/paddling. Events will have at least two levels or varying
levels of intensity and/or length. In addition, the winner of "brains"
and the answer will be announced and later posted on the site. (You
don't have to be present at the brawn training to win.)

Both events are open to anyone so feel free to pass them on!

BRAIN - What is the name of the Bay Area Team who had two teams racing
Primal Quest (aka PQ) named after a fruit?

BRAWN - Run/Trek (Thursday, July 10) - Meet at the Presidio Sports
Basement (PSB) across from Crissy Field at 6:30 for a warm up run to
the infamous sand
stairs at Baker Beach. Do as many laps on the stairs as you can in 30
minutes! Followed by a cool down jog back to PSB returning by 8 PM.
