New to adventure racing or looking for some more practice?
baarbd is hosting a training event on the Peninsula on May 17th.

Join us for our third annual Place, Plot and Swap (2PS) event at El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve with our featured raffle prize... Numa sunglasses worth $150! Mountain bike and trail run combined with placing and finding navigation controls on teams. Come with your own team or we'll help you find one.

What: Place Plot and Swap (2PS). Teams are paired up - one leaves on bike, the other on foot. Each team places controls (provided) and marks them on their map (provided). An hour later all teams return to the TA. Teams then plot each other's points on their maps so they can retrieve them on the other discipine (foot or bike). Teams are paired up based on experience, speed, and ability. Each team gets a set of 'controls' (we get creative!). Refer to the glossary for terms

Where: El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve on the Peninsula, meet at the Skeggs Point parking lot. Start, Finish, and Plot/TA are all in the Skeggs Point parking lot.

When: Saturday, May 17th.

• 9:00 - 9:45 - Navigation clinic
• 9:45 - 10:00 - Race prep
• 10:0 - 10:30 - Race briefing (mandatory)
• 10:30 - 11:30 - Place (event start)
• 11:30 - 12:00 - Plot
• 12:00 - 1:30 - Swap
• 2:00 - Raffle

Cost: $15 baarbd club members, $20 non-members. Entry fee includes maps and raffle ticket (grand prize is a pair of Numa sunglasses!)

Required Gear: Mountain bike, bike helmet, running shoes, water, food, compass, pens and markers (for maps)
