Jen Klafin
Jen started adventure racing in 2001 as a spring board from triathlon when she was 'bitten by the AR bug'. She has many top finishes with a variety of teams primarily in 6 to 24 hour races. Jen raced with Team WickedPissah in New England through 2004 and most recently raced with the now defunct Team SnotRockets in 2005 which split into Team Nomad and the new Team baarbd!
Jonathan Owens
Jonathan raced mountain bikes until 2003 when a friend invited him to try an adventure race for the first time; they finished 7th at a snowy and cold AR National Championships. Jonathan is often the team navigator, and uses his strength at mountain biking (former NORBA National Champion in the 30-34 age group) to tow teammates on the bike. He stays in shape for paddling (and meets his weekly adrenaline quota) by surfing waves at the beach in a white-water kayak.
Scott Porter
Scott is a recent convert to adventure racing. The sport brings together many of his athletic passions such as mountain biking and orienteering with his love of team sports such as mountain climbing around the world. He has been racing a mix of shorter races, but has several expedition length races on the calendar.
